Sommelier Restaurant manager job near NYC
- salary to $75K + incentives + 401K
- the fine dining restaurant seats about 50 and is open Thurs, Friday, Saturday evenings and Sunday for brunch
A small Relais and Chateau mansion property in the lower Hudson Valley, seeks a sommelier/restaurant manager to take over an award winning wine program serving both fine dining and casual dining . Will be responsible for FOH wine education, monthly wine cellar inventory for cost analysis, rotation of stock and procurement of wine with approximately 1000 bottles. Will maintain and update wine menus including wines by the glass, and premium Corovan wines by the glass menus. Will be responsible for collaborating closely with the chef in menu development as it relates to wine pairings, tasting menus and wine dinners. Must maintain a strong working relationship with members of the dining room and tavern staffs, sales director and bar manager. Must be available, evenings, weekends and holidays. The successful candidate must have exceptional “people skills”. Compensation commensurate with experience, health insurance and 401K available.
