Business Development Representative
Our Client is the nation’s premier specialty food distributor, is growing rapidly, and has an exciting opportunity for a Sales representative for the Washingtn, DC area. This is an opportunity for a passionate foodservice professional — a true foodie with strong four-star foodservice management experience and a burning entrepreneur spirit to join our sales team.
This position is not a typical sales position.
Strong food knowledge and management experience in 4 star restaurants and/or hotels is a minimum requirement for this position, sales experience is not. If you fill this position, you will work with the region’s top chefs on a daily basis and must be familiar with this caliber of chefs’ expectations and requirements. To be successful in this position you must possess a strong entrepreneur spirit with a passion and knowledge for exquisite food. Both front and back of the house candidates will be considered based on the individual’s experiences.

You will be joining a team of very dedicated industry professionals with a strong passion for perfection and results driven. You must be detail oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic, tenacious and creative without being overbearing and possess strong communication and presentation skills.
While fundamentally a sales position, this position also has direct influence in areas of logistics and other operational needs. Person will service portfolio of existing territory accounts but primary focus will be to build new accounts in this quickly expanding territory.
No relocation is available for this position and only candidates located on Long Island or the close vicinity will be considered.
